On Thursday’s away conference match the Lady Bucks varsity volleyball team lost to the Fighting Scots by a score of 3-0. The set score was: 15-25, 24-26, and 17-25. However, the final score does not represent the amount of teamwork and effort displayed by the Lady Bucks. The leading offensive players from the Lady Bucks were Diamond Holmes with a staggering 12 kills and Veronique Woodson with 8 well placed kills. The top defensive players of the game were Alexis Blackwell and Natalie Hollingsworth with 9 digs each. Another notable player was Jaliyah Daniels who scored 2 kills at crucial moments during the game. Come watch the Lady Bucks play at home vs Richmond on Tuesday, September 05. See you there!

On Wednesday’s away non-conference match the Lady Bucks varsity volleyball team defeated the Cape Fear Colts by a score of 3-1. The set score was: 25-23, 15-25, 25-22, and 25-22.  The Lady Bucks had outstanding communication and hustle throughout the game both for defense and offense.  The top defensive players of the game were Kimora Blue with 21 digs and Alexis Blackwell with 15 digs.  The strong defense of the Lady Bucks allowed them to set up some powerful attacks against the Cape Fear Colts.  The leading offensive players from the Lady Bucks were Diamond Holmes with  15 stunning kills and Kaliyah Moore with 2 powerful aces.  Come watch the Lady Bucks play at Jack Britt (conference match) on Thursday, September 07.  See you there!
