The NCHSAA is hosting a girl's only tournament for the first time in the state associations history!  This means that there will be a state championship for just female wrestlers!  In order to compete in this 2/2/19 tournament you MUST be a member of the school's varsity team OR a part of the school's Girls' Varsity Wrestling Team.  If you are interested in wrestling for the girls' program you need to see Coach Brigman-AD, Coach Walworth-Head Coach, Coach Locklear-Asst. Head Coach ASAP to get the ball rolling.  

We know you probably don't have much, if any, mat time so we need to get you going as quickly as we can.  A school physical and hydration test are required.

The Hoke County High School wrestling team is in need of wrestlers.  Currently we are forfeiting 5 weight classes meaning that we are entering into a match with 30 points already given to our opponents.  You only need 43 to win a match!  Males and Females are welcomed.  Here are the weight class break downs;

106, 113, 120, 126,.132, 138, 145, 152, 160, 170, 182, 195, 220, 285

If you fall into either of these and almost everyone does please see Coach Brigman (AD), Coach Walworth (Head Coach) or Coach B Lockelar (Asst. Head Coach) to let them know you have interest.  You will need a current school physical on file and will need to pass a hydration test (tests to see how much water you have in your system, if you are hydrated).

The Bucks' Wrestling team competed in their first conference competition on 12/5/18 taking on Scotland and Richmond at Scotland High School.  Hoke lost to Scotland 42-21 and here are the results to the Richmond match:

There is a mandatory meeting on 10/22 at 4 pm in Coach Walworth's room (M-34).  We will discuss the hydration test requirements, the eligibility process, the work out schedule, and fundraising responsibilities.  Everyone, included those currently playing other school sports are required to attend.  Soccer has a game and will not be able to play and you are the only ones excused.
