Hoke Football/Weight Lifting held the first King and Queen Bench Press Championships on 5/6/17 in the McDonald Gym at Hoke County High School. The participants were from the local areas of Hoke, Cumberland, Robeson, and Richmond Counties. All participants were Kings (Males)
In the High School division there were only two schools being represented in Jack Britt High School and the host school Hoke County.
Unfortunately no Queens (Females) participated in either division this year.
The King of the Bench was selected by the person that lifted the highest percentage of their body weight. Shavon Simmons (Fayetteville World's Gym) won by lifting 154.4% of their body weight. Mr. Simmons weighed in at 192.7 and lifted 405 pounds.
