Losing to Jordan-Matthews gave us an overall record of 0-4. Nevertheless, we came away with quite a few positives from the game. We were able to start the game with a new line up that included 4 freshmen and were very pleased with their performances. The freshmen included Leandro Hernandez, Mateo Blum, Josue Maldonado, and David Williams. The entire starting 11 including the freshmen played a very disciplined game against a good opponent. The score really does not indicate how well we played. Jordan-Matthews capitalized on their chances and we failed to score.
Ezikiel Jones and Jonavan McKinnon split time in goal and both did well. They could not do a thing about the goals scored on them. This is also their first time playing as goalkeepers.
Humberto Mejia and Wesley Baldwin are playing very well in defense. They communicate very well with each other.
