The Lady Bucks opened SAC play by hosting the Union Pines Vikings last Monday. Union Pines is always a force on the 3A level and the team was in for a fight this evening. The Vikings' more experienced squad scored in both halves to leave Hoke County with a 5 - 0 road win. Youth and inexperience are gonna be a part of the season for the Fighting Bucks as the year goes forward but the team makes strides with each game played. The Fighting Bucks would record their first win of the season with a 2 - 1 home victory over the Lumberton Pirates in a rain-soaked contest. Sophomore Destyni McDonough would record her first goal and assist of the season and junior Anita Amofah would add her first goal. Senior goalkeeper Bella Khantivong would record 5 saves while allowing one goal
