The Fighting Bucks had a rough week going 0 - 3 for the week. On Tuesday the Fighting Bucks hosted conference rival Scotland County for a varsity doubleheader. The first game was dominated by the pitching of Scotland County. The Fighting Bucks were unable to get any offense going against Scotland starting pitcher Parker Byrd. Scotland would also take advantage of four Bucks errors and timely hitting to take the first game in a runaway 11- 0. In the second game, the Bucks sent Junior Noah Allen to the mound and he held the Scots offense in check, giving up two runs and only one hit. Unfortunately, the Bucks were not able to take advantage of scoring opportunities in the 2nd and 3rd innings leaving five runners on base while only scoring one run. Both defenses kept the scoring to a minimum and allowed the Scots to sweep the doubleheader with a 2 - 1 victory in the late game. In the last game of the week, Hoke County hosted the St. Pauls Bulldogs. The Bulldogs would open a 4 - 1 into the bottom of the 4th inning when the Bucks bats came alive with five straight hits leading to three runs to tie the game. In the 5th inning, the Bulldogs used four hits and three walks to take control of the game with six runs. The Bucks were unable to make a comeback and lost by a final of 12 - 5. The Bucks were led at the plate by Mike Pimpinella who would go 2 for 3 and score twice while Marshall Chavis was 1 for 3 and also scored twice.
