Hoke Bowlers Compete at Regional and State Tournament, Samuel Locklear is The News-Journal Athlete of the Week

Conference Standings

Hoke County High School’s Girls Bowling team finished 2nd place in the Sandhills Athletic Conference, placed 4th in the conference tournament, and have qualified for the NC State Tournament.

Bowling for the Bucks, Raegyn Paul placed 4th in the conference individual tournament and Alaina Goins placed 6th in the conference individual tournament. Both Goins and Paul have qualified to bowl in the state tournament. 

Hoke County High School’s Boys Bowling team finished 5th in the conference, placed 4th in the conference tournament, and qualified for State. Hoke High Varsity Bowler, Samuel Locklear placed 1st in the conference, placed 2nd in the conference tournament, and has also qualified for state.

During the conference tournament, Bucks Bowler Samuel Locklear placed 2nd and advanced to Semifinals. Samuel Locklear defeated Zach Wallace 152-131, to advance to the Championship match where Samuel ultimately lost to Nicholas Letourneau 204-214.Samuel placed 2nd in the NC State HS Boys Tournament. 

At the State Tournament,  Alaina Goins finished in 11th place and Raegyn Paul finished 29th
